Time compression under relativity

Paul Graham once said, fast growing startups compress time, similar to how going near a black-hole does in relativity. Everything runs faster. You can compress 30 years of experience into 4 years. Things are running on turbo mode. Dimensions like, the amount of personal wealth created, career growth, learning, business impact, rate of problem solving, whatever it is that people look for in terms of job accomplishment, is compounding at fairly fast rates.

Businesses compounding at rates faster than the headcount is compounding, is dependent on the team scaling up and increasing leverage over time. Most people personally scale slower than the business, including the founders. These growth rates stretch you thin. The nice thing is, you grow as fast as you are able to. The bad thing is, there isn’t plenty of time for mentorship and you need to figure out how to scale yourself.
